TWI Job Instruction for Skilled Mentors

Empowering a mentoring culture to develop capabilities within our teams.

The second group of Mentors and Supervisors at G.W. Lisk Corporation completed Training Within Industry Job Instruction: a program that creates a pattern for supervisors to most effectively train employees how to do a job safely, correctly and conscientiously.

Participants apply a method and standard way for teaching others to develop skills in their teams. As a result, they will have less scrap, rework and rejects; less damage to tools and equipment and fewer accidents. Participants are now working through weekly coaching to apply this pattern of instruction in their work areas and prepare to train new team members.

This program is made possible through a partnership between the Workforce Development Institute, G.W. Lisk Corporation and Engage Forward.
