Students need to enter the workforce prepared with employability skills that support team problem solving, communication, adaptability, and other 21st century skills.  We work with educators and employers to develop curriculum and training that supports a capable workforce.

  • Partner with employers and education to determine skill gaps.
  • Develop high-value curriculum and training that integrates skills with existing academics.
  • Provide training to students and educators (Train the Trainer).
  • Advocate the skill needs of employers to area resources for continued alignment of skills development resources.

CAREER AWARENESS & EXPLORATION

Many Americans do not have a positive impression of various critical jobs in the 21st century.  Students historically have lacked exposure and the general public’s perception of careers in manufacturing, healthcare and other sectors is dated and out of sync with the realities of the exciting and rewarding careers that are available.

Engage Forward is working to promote a variety of careers to our emerging workforce and their families.

  • Present programs that promote awareness of career paths, entry requirements and progression paths to schools and community events.
  • Connect opportunities for career exploration through employer partnerships and existing educational organizations.
  • Support employer outreach and connection to the emerging workforce.
